2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create a Jaani account or use the Service on behalf of someone else.

3. Recording Consent Responsibility

You are solely responsible for complying with all applicable laws when recording conversations using Jaani, including obtaining any necessary consent from all participants.

Recording laws vary by state, country, and circumstances.
Jaani does not verify consent and is not responsible for any illegal recordings made through the Service.
By starting a recording, you confirm you have obtained all legally required consents from all parties present.

4. Medical Advice Disclaimer

Jaani does not provide medical advice. Any information, summaries, or suggested "next steps" generated by the Service are for general informational purposes only and are not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before making decisions based on Jaani content.
We are not liable for any action or inaction taken based on Service output.

5. User Content & License

You may upload, record, or share content, including audio recordings, transcripts, summaries, and messages ("User Content").

You retain ownership of your content, but grant us a limited, perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide license to use it solely to operate, improve, and provide the Service.
You warrant and represent that your User Content and your use of the Service does not infringe on others' rights, violate laws, or contain harmful material.

6. Privacy & Data Security

We take privacy seriously. Our Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.

We encrypt your data in transit and at rest, and do not sell personal data.
You control who in your Care Group can access your data.

7. Service Availability

We aim for reliable service, but outages and interruptions may occur. We are not responsible for any loss, damages or harm caused by Service downtime.

8. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

Use the Service for unlawful purposes
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts
Share malicious code or content
Harass, abuse, or harm others using the Service

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms, if required by law or for any other purpose in our reasonable judgment.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jaani and its affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from or related to your use of the Service.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, and the sole venue for the resolution of disputes arising pursuant to these terms are the state and federal courts located in San Francisco County, State of California.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted with a new "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Service means you accept the changes.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE AND ALL CONTENT, DATA, INFORMATION, AND MATERIALS PROVIDED THROUGH THE SERVICE ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, JAANI EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, RELIABILITY, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.

JAANI MAKES NO WARRANTY THAT THE SERVICE OR ANY RESULTS GENERATED THROUGH THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS OR EXPECTATIONS, OR THAT THE USE OF THE SERVICE WILL BE SUITABLE FOR ANY PARTICULAR MEDICAL, CLINICAL, OR DIAGNOSTIC PURPOSE. YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT USE OF THE SERVICE IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK.
